Genting Highlands Day 2

I know the gap between day 1's post and day 2's post is super long. Yet, honestly this time, I've not had the time to do it thanks to work & all.
But that's for another story to tell.

So day 2 of Genting was not very different.

From where we left off the first day, we were supposed to wake up early the next day to go to the theme park. But because of the partying the night before, none of us woke up at 9am. Instead, we all rushed to check out of the hotel room at 11am because our actual room was finally ready & the room was on the other tower. So we rushed out & met Huimin's mom for dim sum breakfast.

First we wanted to go to the theme park in the afternoon, after eating. However, we realized it wasn't a very good idea to go on rides after eating a whole table of dim sum. Besides the fact that we were stuffed to the brim, the weather wasn't exactly on our side at that time. The whole place was covered with fog & there was no way the theme park was going to be open with weather like that. You couldn't even see the car park that was right in front of the hotel!

So instead, we all were deciding what we should do & the guys (as usual) headed to the casino. In the meantime, we girls walked around the entire Genting Highlands to check out all the massage parlors & spas that were there. We wanted to go for a massage then head to the salon to get our hairs done but all the massage parlors were damn expensive & weren't worth the money.

We spent the whole time going all over the place & in the end, just ended up going to the salon to get our hairs done. While we walked around, we noticed that all the fog had cleared up & it was the PERFECT weather to go to the theme park, but by the time the fog cleared up it was already the late afternoon & we were supposed to catch a show in the evening.

So we went to get our hairs done. As usual, I blow dried mine straight while the other girls blow dried it curly. Everyone's hairs were done around the same time & finished together too. All except Huimin's. Because her hair is so damn long, not only did it take forever to blow dry, but also because the guy doing her  hair screwed it up so badly but using a small round brush to blow curl her hair. How stupid is that?! It's only common sense that the longer the hair, the bigger the round brush has to be to give proper, appropriate sized, curls! In the end, Huimin's hair came out worse than a black woman's afro weaves. So the owner of the shop had to straighten her hair with a flat iron & then curl it again with a curler. While she was doing that, she was bitching all about Huimin in Cantonese with all the other 'aunties' in the salon. Little did they know that one of Huimin's friends understood every word of Cantonese.

Once her hair was salvaged, we went back to the hotel room & started getting ready for the show. After a total of around 2 hours, we were all prepped and ready to go.

And so that evening we watched the magic show on ice: Freeze 2. Sanjeev was so adorable because he was actually telling me how we wanted to watch the show after seeing the billboard on the way up the mountain & now he's really excited to watch it.
Since the show said that there was no photography/video taking allowed, this was the only one I could sneak before the show started.
Basically, the show was a female illusionist & she did some cool stunts and tricks. Between her illusions there were some acrobats & those China School of Acrobats people doing some contorting acts & all that. It wasn't too bad actually.

Once the show was over, we bought supper back to the hotel & KOed because the next day was supposed to be another big day ahead.

And with that, I will leave with another cliffhanger because I've gotta go get ready for my trip now.
I'm way behind on blogging but I'm hoping I'll start catching up once I'm back.

Cao bitchez. XOXO.
