Church Retreat
On Sunday, 18th May 2008, I posted that I watched It's a Boy Girl Thing & said that it's a must watch.
Wanna hear something damn cool?
Two days ago I found out that this movie hasn't even premiered in Singapore yet.
It's premiere date is 3rd July 2008
& I've already watched this movie on High Definition online! AWESOME!!

Singapore's the last country to premiere it. Real slow!
UK premiered it on the 26th December 2006.
Anyway... AWESOME!!!!!!!

Friday 06.06.08:
Went to school with my luggage.
After school I rushed my ass to Daniel Hall & they were watching a movie.
I changed into the attire required & by the time I finished, they were all praying already.
Alright, so I joined in.
After the prayer, we headed out to our first activity :D
We went to Kranji War Memorial.
We took the MRT there because there were only a handful of us.
From Kranji station we walked all the way to Kranji War Memorial.
We were told to find a spot & reflect on ourselves/our lives.
So I lied down with Mr. G G J Spencer

The sunset was really beautiful!
After that we had dinner at the gate of the place because it was closing.
After dinner we took a chartered bus to some Chinese Cemetery at Sime Rd.
We had a night walk through the cemetery. I walked with Amanda because she was scared & at some parts I was kinda spooked out too because I had that feeling that somebody was following us. I knew that I can't freak out because if I did, what's gonna happen to Amanda?!
I wanted so much to look back but if I did, Amanda would think something's wrong. So I didn't.

No photos of the walk cuz our phones were confiscated.
After the walk we walked all the way to MacRitchie.
Holly Cow!! It was like never ending. & the worst part was I needed to pee real bad!
For every couple of meters I had to stop to ensure my pee wasn't gonna blow.
Once we reached MacRitchie, I headed straight to the toilet.
First time I felt so happy to see a toilet.
However, after that night, I can't hold my pee anymore. Uh oh...
We rested at MacRitchie then we had sharing. At around 1am we headed back.
My cell & I went to the swimming pool's toilet to bathe. OMFG! the toilet is in absolute horrible condition.
The cubicle doors were busted, the toilet bowls weren't working, the shower cubicles only had curtains to cover, 2 out of 4 of them were working, the sinks were dirty, one sink was INFESTED with mosquito larvae & the government wonders why there are so many dengue cases.
bathed & headed back.
the girls played Bridge.. I couldn't understand a single thing they were teaching about the game. So I decided not to learn at all. Besides, it's not like I have anyone to play with at home.
Slept on the bed.
2 single sized beds shared by 5 people.
amazing.
oh, I DO NOT SNORE! I BREATHE DEEPLY BECAUSE I HAVE A BLOCKED BREATHING CAVITY DUE TO ASTHMA!

Saturday 07.06.08:
In the morning, we had sharing & worship.
It started to rain very heavily... so we couldn't play our activities yet. So we played Taboo & Sherades. It was real fun.
Fay fell sick so she went back to the chalet & slept. Poor girl.
After we played our games, we had our group sharing.
The rain was coming into the shelter so Pam used the tent's rain protector and tied it to the top of the shelter to cover us.
There was this dude who was seeking shelter there too & when he saw Pam trying to tie the thing, he helped out. I could totally see that he was flirting with her.. hehe
anyways,
after sharing.. the rain stopped & we played captain's ball.
Captain's ball was fun. Then we had some obstacle course thing that we had to go through.
I was partnered with Amanda. I was blindfolded & she wasn't. She was supposed to protect me. We had some sand castle things to hold on to. We couldn't let those things be taken away from us.
It was real fun. We got splashed with lots of water :D
After that we built sand castles.
(sorry, there's no photos of that yet. I'm waiting for Samantha dear to send them to me. When I get them, I'll post them up.)
I bathed after the whole thing before the barbeque.
I accompanied Fay for a while after my bath. Poor dear..
The Barbeque:

Poor Fay. This is how she looked like because she was so sick:
all hot, pink, runny nose...
She then went home. Sent her out to meet her parents who came to fetch her. Grace, Sam & I sent her out. Poor dearie...
In the chalet:
most of the girls were playing Bridge.
Pheebs & I watched the Soccer match between Singapore & Uzbekistan (?). I was supporting Uzbekistan. In the end, 1-0 in favour of Uzbekiztan.
We were like boys watching soccer. Keep screaming & shouting at the TV.
After the match, Hui ying, Grace, Pheebs, me & some other girls watched some sitcom that was on.
Once that was over, we talked & chatted about everything under the sun.
At 3am we went to bed.
Sunday 08.06.08:
woke up at 8.45am to go home to put down my bag.
Grace accompanied me back. So sweet :D
Changed then headed back to the Chalet.
We had worship & sharing before we left for Expo.
At expo we had brunch. Pizza (:
then.. it was time for service.
I was there only for the praise part when I received a text from YJ saying that Daniel's flight was boarding already.
WHAT?!
So I left in a huff, took a cab to the airport. Met up with YJ then RAN to meet Dan before he left for Thailand.
Manage to reach him just in time.
Said our goodbye & we left.
Went to Starbucks.
YJ had her cheesecake & a chocolate chip blend. I had a chocolate cream blend.
Then we had a brainblast of seeing Huien since she was having tuition.
We rushed all the way to Bugis.
We saw 80 passing by & we thought, OMG.. don't tell me she left already.
I suggested we went to the tuition centre but before that I told YJ to go check the bus stop & praise God! Huien was at the bus stop.
:D
We walked around Bugis street & Bugis junction for a while before heading back home.

Saturday 07.06.08:
