80th Anniversary

ok.

like i said, i would tell you about the 80th Anniversary of GB.

i was one of the 10 girls who volunteered to be the Guard Of Honour for this event.
when we were walking to the convention centre, i heard this guy talking on his walkie-talkie saying, "no, you see, the president's coming."

at first i thought it was the President of Singapore, but i thought...
it can't be.

then when we met our captain, Ms Wendy Wong, she told us that we were the GOH for the president of Singapore, Mr S.R.Nathan, we were like, WAHT!?
(i spelt it like that on purpose FYI).

then after the last practice for the GOH, Ms Wong asked us, including 5th coy, whether anybody didn't mind staying back slightly longer to move the artifact table on the stage towards the president.
so, being me, i said i can.

Ms Wong then chose another girl from 5th coy.
so the two of us stayed on and we did our job and i stood next to the president.

it's a super great honour ok!
bringing into consideration that i am only a PR citizen of Singapore(:

the supposed time for us to leave for home was around 0900pm.
but....
I ended up going home at 1100pm.
(leave the place at 11.)

the other girl, Bernice, left early cuz her sister went to look for her so they went home.
sat with Ms Angeline, Ms Jerine and some guy (who i dunno the name. lol) but he works as a "sir" in the GB HQ.

it was super fun, the dinner.
i thank God that i was given this opportunity.
