Melo(DAY)

get it? Melody-day. hahaha! that's because today Melody (Lim) and i went out.

it was totally fun!
first we were to meet at Outram Park station, NEL, then we would go to Chinatown cuz she wanted to shop for shades.
we were supposed to meet at 1030AM but in the end we changed it to 1130AM. i reached Outram at 11.45AM and i thought i was late. she wasn't at the station.. my phone is spoilt ladies and germs.. yes. but one way or another i managed to call Mel. she said she would be late.

so lucky me. anyway, she came at about 12 or something like that? anyway, yea.. we then went to Chinatown. i haven't been to that place in forever and it hasn't changed much actually. hahaha! we bought her shades then we walked around and we came across this food stall and the owners an angmoh (no he's not hot. he's funny though) we ate the chicked meatballs and mashpotato. IT WAS REALLY nice! OMG! super nice. the mashpotato is home-made so it's really nice! you people must go there. the name is.. Erich's Wuerstelstand!
here are some pics of the chicken meatball with mashpotato: and all that at just $4.00! AWESOME RIGHT?! i know! and the taste is great. IKEA meatballs has a competitor i tell you.

after that fantastic meal, mel and i walked out from the junction and we walked into this heritage shop. Chinatown Heritage Centre. we looked at the stuff that they were selling and they are pretty vintage old. there was a museum and for $4.00 (student pass needed) we got to tour a 3 storey museum filled with the interesting facts of the beginnings of singapore. FANTASTIC! i never regretted going in there.
while touring one part of the place, we came across this area where in the olden days the family will live in and there was this glass panel and mel saw her feets' reflections and she FREAKED OUT! which made me freak out too! it was hilarious! but i still love her.. honestly, HAHA!

after the heritage tour we went back to the 21st century.. we went to Plaza Singapura and we watched a movie. Enchanted. yes! it was the second time i watched that movie but Mel wanted to watch it so yea.. i teared again at the same part! the ballroom part.

and that was the end of the day.. after the show we walked around abit but after that she had to go for family dinner so i went home.

although it might not seem like much now on this post but let me tell you.. it was ALOT of activities. and it was fun!

note: Singaporeans! you guys have got to stop doing anything on ONE day and pretend to be a tourist because you never know the secrets of the country that might be lurking in the shadows and you just walking past it. take a break, stop reality and dive into the world of mystic and curiosity because take it from me.. IT IS SUPER FUN!
