well it's been here for the past 2 days for me.

but on a lighter note,
i shall say something about the ever great "singlish".

there's 2 phrases that i really don't get.
(actually it's just one but jixian has one too so it's two).

the first one is,
when someone is annoying you.
"don't make me already la!"

*raise eyebrows*
yeah.
that's the problem.
how in the world do you "make" someone.
nobody makes anybody, unless you're a plastic surgeon or you're God.

correct english: "can you stop annoying me?!"

next one,
commenting on something
"walao! that was damn nice, CAN?"

*raise eyebrows*
what is up with the "can?"
what happens if it's a "cannot?"

corret english: "that was a really nice (whatever that's being commented on)"
