Inter-school debates
Came home at 5.50pm.
Inter-school debates sucked!
Well, this is what my team, "GMSS Team A" went through.
Round one.
Motion: The death penalty is too harsh a penalty for drug traffickers.
Side: Opposition.
Against: Fairfield Methodist Secondary School Team A.
Verdict: Lost.
Round two.
Motion: Government scholarship awarded to the fine arts is counterproductive.
Side: Proposition.
Against: Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School.
Verdict: Lost
Round three.
Motion: The government has the right to censor the blogs of their citizens.
Side: Proposition.
Against: Fairfield Methodist Secondary School Team B.
Verdict: Lost
The first round,
The debaters were two guys and a girl.
Truthfully, one of the guys was not that bad looking.

"no wonder you guys lost. You were focusing more on the guy than on the motion!"
Two of the guys in the spectator were also kind of good looking.
heehee..
The second round,
Against Paya Lebar MGS.
Totally dislike the people in that team man!
So stuck up.
Just 'cause their school and my school had a long bad history together.
At the summarizing of the debate, they called us a quote, "lazy and disorganized opponent".
My gosh!
How dare they!
I am very offended.
The fact that we were able to come up with the speech shows that we were definitely not lazy.
I know it's a debate, but it didn't have to go that far!
And after the whole thing, when they were shaking our hands they didn't even bother to look at us and shake our hands properly.
What?!
Just because we lost to you guys doesn't mean that we are unworthy to be acknowledged!
What the hell.
They should apologize!
Third round,
against Fairfield Methodist Team B.
they were nicer. (Fairfield are very nice people even though we are opponents in the debates)
But at least they don't like attack you personally.
I like those people.
So much nicer than the stuck up PLMGS people.
And it's amazing that they won best debating school. (second place)
They should have been penalized for that!
